The committee headed by BJP MP Jagdambika Pal believes that the bill's proposal to expand the state Waqf boards to include two non-Muslim members and ensure wider representation from Shia, Sunni, and backward Muslim communities will promote inclusiveness and diversity in Waqf management.

According to sources, the committee has approved amendments to 14 sections. JPC Chairman Jagadambika Pal has said that the democratic process has been fully followed in the deliberations, while opposition members say that they have been given very little time to read the large draft report and give their comments.
