103 people died in UP, 45 in Bihar

Due to the scorching heat, it has become difficult for people to live in some areas of North India. In UP and Bihar, the death toll is increasing every day. While 103 people have died in UP so far, 47 people have died in Bihar. At the same time, 1 death occurred due to a heat wave in Odisha. According to unconfirmed reports, 20 people have died due to a heat wave in Odisha.

 

Floods in Chennai, Assam, and Rajasthan

In many areas of North India where people are dying due to heat stroke. At the same time, there is a flood-like situation in Chennai and Assam. Rainwater has flooded many areas. On the other hand, the effect of cyclonic storm Biparjoy is visible in Rajasthan. Many areas there have been flooded.

In UP's Ballia alone, 103 people have died in the last nine days. At the same time, 52 people have died in Deoria in the last 24 hours, but it is not clear whether the death is due to heat stroke.

 

According to IMD, heat wave conditions are likely to continue over Bihar and East UP for the next two days and will subside after June 20.

 

Holiday declared for schools in Chennai

Due to heavy overnight rains in Chennai and its suburbs, the authorities declared a holiday for schools on Monday. International flight operations at the airport have also been affected, as around 10 flights arriving from Doha and Dubai were diverted to Bengaluru.
