Rains before the arrival of monsoon in the national capital have brought relief from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain with thunderstorms in Delhi on Monday and Tuesday. The southwest monsoon has reached more than half of the country. On Sunday, the monsoon advanced in almost the entire Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gujarat, Bihar, and some parts of Jharkhand. In the next few days, conditions are favorable for its advancement in Bihar, Jharkhand, the remaining parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan, and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Temperature drops, light rain with thunderstorms expected for the next five days
On Sunday, some areas of Delhi received light rain and the sky remained cloudy throughout the day. Due to this, the mercury dropped below 40 degrees. The maximum temperature in the capital was recorded at 39.8 and the minimum at 29.6 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms may occur in the Gangetic region of Bengal and Uttar Pradesh on June 25-27, Sub-Himalayan Bengal and Sikkim on June 24, and Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha for the next five days.
Chances of rain in many states within the next three days
Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places in Uttarakhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar during June 25-27. Rainfall is expected in western Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, and Odisha on June 26 and 27.

Monsoon has knocked in Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Sikkim and all the northeastern states. Apart from these states, light rain with thunder and lightning has also occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
