Weather Update Today: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the new easterly wave, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in South Peninsular India during the next 5 days. The highest rainfall was recorded in Tamil Nadu on 20 November. IMD has issued an orange alert for Puducherry and Karaikal and advised people to avoid going on unpaved roads and crowded areas.

According to IMD, the rainy season in Tamil Nadu and Kerala is likely to continue in the coming two days. There is a possibility of heavy rain here from 19 to 23 November.

According to the IMD report, due to the influence of easterly waves, scattered to very heavy rainfall with isolated heavy falls is likely over South Peninsular India.
There is no possibility of any active western disturbance impacting northwest India between 23 and 29 November.
Rainfall activity is likely to be above normal over South Peninsular India.
There is a possibility of rain in most parts of East and Northeast India.
Rain is also expected in the plains of northwest India and many parts of central India.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is an active Western Disturbance in Pakistan, which is slowly moving towards the east. Due to this, strong winds may blow in the plains of northwestern India, due to which a sudden drop in temperature will be recorded. According to IMD, from 21st to 25th November the temperature will drop in many states including Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
