In this alert, the maximum temperature has been predicted to rise to 37-39 degree Celsius in some parts of the Kutch and Konkan regions. It has been estimated that this time the summer season may come in the country without the coming of spring and the heat will make people cry a lot.

 

The mercury crossed 31 degrees in the capital

According to the officials, this alert has come very early this time, because usually such alerts are issued in March itself. Large parts of West and North-West India as well as many Himalayan cities have recorded temperatures 5-10°C above normal for this time of the year. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the maximum temperature in the capital was 31.5 degrees Celsius and the day temperature is likely to remain at this level for the next three to four days.

 

The temperature will increase rapidly in the western part of the country

The maximum temperature is increasing by 3-4 degree Celsius over Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch western part of the country. The situation is particularly acute with the maximum temperature at many places being up to 8 degrees above normal. The situation is likely to remain the same over Northwest India till at least 21 February.

 

The mercury has been recorded at or near 40 degree Celsius in some parts of the country. Bhuj recorded 39.5 degrees Celsius on Saturday, which is 9 notches above normal.
