Heavy rains are continuing in many states of the country. The Meteorological Department issued an alert of heavy rain in some areas of Madhya Pradesh, UP, Rajasthan, and Gujarat on Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Department, the pressure area formed in North-East Madhya Pradesh is moving in the western and north-west areas. Due to this effect, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in some places in West Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan. Along with this, heavy rain may occur in some places over Madhya Maharashtra.
Similarly, there will be heavy rain at some places in UP, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be a flood situation in some areas of the said states. According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi may also receive heavy rains in the next few days.

According to the IMD, there will be heavy rain at many places in West Rajasthan on 23rd and 24th, East Madhya Pradesh from 23rd to 26th August, West Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa on 23rd. Lightning is likely to occur over Odisha, Gujarat region, Saurashtra, and Kutch also on 23rd and 24th August, Chhattisgarh on 25th and 26th August with widespread light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls.
Strong winds will blow in Delhi, and light rain expected
According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi and adjoining areas will remain cloudy throughout the day on Tuesday. Strong gusts of wind will blow at a speed of 35 to 40 kmph. Also, there is a possibility of light rain. The maximum and minimum temperatures may be 35 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
Heavy rain alert in these districts of UP
The Meteorological Department has issued rain alerts in 42 districts. Of these, there is a red alert in 16 districts. Monsoon is active in 21 districts including Lucknow, Meerut, and Gautam Budh Nagar. There is a possibility of heavy rain here on Tuesday.
