Weather Update Today: Will rain bring relief in Delhi-NCR today? Know- weather conditions across the country

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR today. The sky will remain cloudy throughout the day and some drop in temperature will also be recorded. But according to the Meteorological Department, due to this rain, the pollution in the air is not going to reduce. The pollution situation in Delhi is likely to become more severe in the next two days. The maximum temperature is expected to be 30 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 17 degree Celsius.

 

According to Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of light rain in many states of North India due to the effect of the Western Disturbance, snowfall will continue in the mountains. Low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal, its effect will be seen in many states of South India, there may be torrential rains in the right states.

 

Amidst the ever-changing weather, there is a possibility of drizzling in Delhi for the next two days due to the influence of a western disturbance. However, it is likely to remain so low that it will not have a significant impact on weather or pollution conditions. The effect of an active Western Disturbance in North India will be seen in the weather of Haryana-Punjab as well as Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

Chance of rain in these states today

According to Skymet Weather, today i.e. November 9, 2022, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells is likely over southern parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu. Light to moderate rain is possible over the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Isolated light rain is possible over South Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and North Rajasthan. Along with this, light to moderate rain and snow is possible in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Jammu, and Kashmir. Scattered light rain and snow are possible over Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh.

 

Pollution situation very bad in Delhi

According to the Meteorological Department, the air quality in Delhi-NCR is deteriorating continuously. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Noida (UP) is 371 at present in the 'very poor' category. The AQI in Gurugram (Haryana) is 338 in the 'very poor' category. Near Delhi's Dhirpur is at 433, which is in the 'severe' category. Delhi's overall AQI is currently 339 in the 'very poor' category. According to the Meteorological Department, after November 10, fog can be seen in Delhi.

 

How will the weather be today in Delhi-NCR

Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Faridabad and Gurugram of Haryana today (Wednesday), 8 November. Rain is forecast in Faridabad also till November 10. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in Gurugram today.

 

Along with rain in the hilly states, the period of snowfall is also continuing in some areas. According to the weather forecasting agency Skymet, there may be light rain in Uttarakhand. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in some areas of Himachal Pradesh.
