Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has told that heat wave conditions will continue for two days in some areas of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. According to the IMD, there may be rain and thundershowers in Delhi from June 16. Along with this, strong wind is expected, but on June 15, Delhiites are not likely to get any major relief from the heat. Pre-monsoon activities are forecast to start over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha from today, but temperatures will remain above normal over North Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and North Madhya Pradesh till June 15. The Meteorological Department said that there is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature in Northwest India in the next four days.
Heavy rain forecast in many states
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in many states. No major relief is likely in the maximum temperatures in Delhi and other parts of Northwest India till June 15. Light to moderate rain is possible at one or two places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Northeast India, parts of Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa, Southwest MP, Interior Maharashtra and Kerala, and Tamil Nadu today, Monday 13th June. On the other hand, light to moderate rain may occur over parts of North-East, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Gujarat region, and Southeast Rajasthan. Similarly, light rain is possible over East Bihar, West Bengal, and South East Madhya Pradesh.

On Monday, there is a possibility of rain at isolated places in the districts of Indore, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Ujjain, and Jabalpur divisions. Because of the present situation, the monsoon is likely to enter the state by June 20, four days after the scheduled date of June 16.
