Welfare of people is being done by Ayushman Bharat scheme, so far 4.21 crore patients have been treated

So far 4.21 crore patients have been treated under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. About Rs, 49,468 crores have been spent on this. Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharti Praveen Pawar gave this information in Rajya Sabha in a written reply to a question. He said that Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was launched in 2018 which is the largest government-funded health insurance scheme.

 

Get the help of five lakh rupees

Under this, 10.74 crore poor and vulnerable families are provided a health cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for hospitalization. The Union Minister of State said that under the flagship program of the Government, National Health Mission (NHM), various steps have been taken to assist the State Governments to provide accessible and affordable treatment to the people.

 

Data not shared without consent

Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) facilitates the exchange of secure data between intended stakeholders on its network after patient consent. No data is shared with any other entity, including insurance and pharma companies, without the individual's consent. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information to Rajya Sabha in a written reply to a question.

 

He said that ABDM facilitates the secure exchange of data between the intended stakeholders over the network after the consent of the patient. The health data management policy clearly states that no data will be shared with any other body including insurance and pharma companies without the consent of the individual.
