Under this, 10.74 crore poor and vulnerable families are provided a health cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for hospitalization. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information to Rajya Sabha in a written reply to a question.
He said that ABDM facilitates the secure exchange of data between the intended stakeholders over the network after the consent of the patient. The health data management policy clearly states that no data will be shared with any other body including insurance and pharma companies without the consent of the individual.
