Under this, 10.74 crore poor and vulnerable families are provided a health cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for hospitalization. Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) facilitates the exchange of secure data between intended stakeholders on its network after patient consent. No data is shared with any other entity, including insurance and pharma companies, without the individual's consent. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information to Rajya Sabha in a written reply to a question.

The health data management policy clearly states that no data will be shared with any other body including insurance and pharma companies without the consent of the individual.
