In the midst of the Corona virus crisis, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is constantly talking to experts through video conferencing. On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi spoke to Ashish Jha, a prominent American public health expert of Indian origin. During this conversation, Rahul Gandhi asked a question on the possibility of introduction of Corona virus vaccine, in response to which Ashish Jha said that the vaccine will come by next year.
The news agency has released a video showing the conversation between Rahul Gandhi and Ashish Jha. In this conversation, Rahul Gandhi asks- tell me brother, when will the vaccine come? In response, Ashish Jha says, 'There are two to three vaccines, one from America, one from China and one from Oxford. All three seem promising. Don't tell me which one will work. May be all three work or one of them. I am very sure that the vaccine will come from somewhere to next year.
Eminent American public health expert of Indian origin Ashish Jha said on Wednesday that the Covid-19 virus is going to live next year and there is a need to create trust among people while starting economic activities after lockdown. During a dialogue with former Congress president Rahul Gandhi through video conference, newly appointed Dean Jha of Brown University School of Public Health also said that India would have to strategize on the lockdown and corona investigation. He said that apart from the economic and health effects of corona virus, it also has psychological effects and governments need to pay attention to this as well.
Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, said, 'This virus also has psychological effects. Through lockdown, you give a message to your people that the situation is serious. In such a situation, when you open economic activities, you have to instill confidence in people. According to him, this virus is a problem lasting for the next 18 months i.e. 2021. A vaccine or medicine will come next year. People need to understand that life is going to change now. Now life will not be the same.
In response to a Rahul Gandhi question about the lockdown, Jha said that governments need to strategize. He said that the good thing for India is that it has a large population of youth for which the corona will not be fatal. The elderly and those admitted to hospitals have to be taken care of.
