On Friday BJP suspended party MLA Prahlad Gunjal from Kota for allegedly threatening district CMHO Dr RN Yadav with dire consequences for not issuing transfer orders to the kin of a party worker.
Reports said the state leadership of the party was under immense pressure to take action against Gunjal in view of widespread criticism faced by the party over the abusive rant of its MLA. The BJP central leadership also wanted strong action against the earing MLA.
The BJP MLA from Kota suggested that the matter should be considered as closed now. However, Dr Yadav appears to be in no mood to let go of the issue and said he still fears for the safety of his family.
The case shot into limelight after Gunjal was caught on tape threatening Dr Yadav with Dire consequences for not issuing transfer orders to the kin of a party worker.
Yadav further added that the male nurse, whose transfer was being sought, is facing a departmental inquiry into the matter of embezzlement of 2,200 antibiotic tablets.
