The Union Additional Health Secretary has written a letter to the Chief Secretaries of all the states and union territories of the country to consider the restrictions during festivals like Holi, Bihu, Shab-e-Baaraat. The letter states that restrictions may be considered on behalf of the local administration during festivals such as Holi, Shab-e-Barat, Bihu, Easter, and Eid. In a letter written by the Additional Secretary of Health Department Aarti Ahuja, states have been told that they can consider restrictions because of festivals. States can take strict decisions on their behalf under Section 22 of the Disaster Management Act to prevent crowds from getting organized during the state's festivities. With this, the letter said that if we relax at this stage, the increase in the war from Corona so far may be over. Following Corona's protocol in public places and preventing congestion is the only effective way to stop the spread of infection.
