Presidential candidate and former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha lost the presidential election from the opposition side. He had resigned from the Trinamool Congress before contesting the elections. Now that Draupadi Murmu has become the President of the country, Yashwant Sinha's political future is being discussed again. Meanwhile, Sinha himself has come forward and told about his future.

Sinha said, he will no longer join any political party and will remain independent. He also said that he has not yet decided what role he wants to play in public life in the future. However, certainly, he will not attend any party. He also said that he is not in touch with TMC. No one has spoken to me and neither have I spoken to anyone. Sinha said I have to see what role I will play in public life and how active I will be. I'm 84 now, so these are the issues.
