Anti-drone guns have been deployed for the security of VIPs during election rallies in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. Confirming this, a senior NSG official said that the security of the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Defense Minister, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and others are being kept tight during the election tour.

These proved to be very useful in rescuing VIPs from any air attack. Meanwhile, the Ahmedabad Rural Police has registered an FIR against three private drone fliers during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally.
