In difficult times, young people remember God more than the elderly. From worship-recitation, the period of vows and supplications begins. The Church of England survey has revealed that the tendency toward meditation and spirituality in the younger generation has increased more than in the previous generation, due to which they have become more faithful.

18 to 34 years olds more religious

In this survey, research has been done among people aged 18 to 34 years and above 55 years on their attitude towards God in the last month. It was found that a third of people aged 18 to 34 years, or about 33%, prayed in religious places in the last month, while only 25% of people above 55 years of age came to pray.

The Sawanta Comeres survey found that 56% of youth have prayed to God at some point in time, while only 41% of those over 55 years of age admitted to praying. The Most Rev Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York, said there was uncertainty all around.

Reasons like global warming, inflation behind spirituality

Reasons like global warming, inflation, the Russia-Ukraine war, and drought have brought them to the shelter of God. When at this time we are living with many kinds of problems, then only in the shelter of God, we will find peace. Taking refuge in God can bring big changes in our life. Whereas other religious leaders say that the younger generation is more spiritual than the previous generation.

This survey has come at a time when all the churches are closing down. In the past decade, from 2010 to 2019 alone, 423 churches in England were closed permanently. Very Revd Dr. Stephen Haines of the Church of England says that the results of this survey change the general belief. Till now it has been understood that educated youth do not believe in religion, but it is not so.

The troubles after Corona made the youth religious

Loneliness among people has increased due to the corona epidemic. In such a situation, he needed someone's help or support, who would take him towards meditation and worship of God. Actress Dipika Chikalia Topiwala, who plays Sita in the Ramayana serial, said in an interview that a large part of India will move towards 'nature and spirituality.
