25 crore lottery for auto driver in Kerala: First prize won in Onam bumper lottery, 15.75 crores after tax deduction

An autorickshaw driver's luck has shone in Kerala. He has got a lottery of 25 crores in Onam Bumper Lottery. Anoop, a resident of Srivaraham in Thiruvananthapuram, had bought the ticket for this lottery on Saturday night, the results of which were declared on Sunday. After deducting the tax, Anoop will get Rs 15.75 crore.

 

The auto driver was going to Malaysia to become a chef

 

Anoop, 30, worked as a chef in a hotel before driving an autorickshaw and was preparing to move to Malaysia to work as a chef again. His bank loan was also sanctioned to go to Malaysia. After this, he bought a lottery ticket for 500 rupees, on which his bumper lottery came out.

 

The biggest prize in Kerala's lottery history

 

This year's bumper prize is the biggest ever in the history of Kerala. 25 crores in the first prize, 5 crores in the second and 1-1 crores were given to 10 people as the third prize. The agent selling the ticket will also be given a commission from the lottery prize. This year 67 lakh Onam bumper lottery tickets were printed in Kerala, almost all of which were sold out.
