Afghanistan has suffered the second major tremor of the earthquake for the second consecutive day. On Thursday morning, ie today, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 was felt in some parts of Afghanistan. However, no loss of life or property has been reported in this so far.

The National Center for Seismology said that the epicenter of the earthquake was 76 km from Faizabad, Afghanistan. Earlier on Wednesday, an earthquake in eastern Afghanistan killed 1,000 people and injured more than 1,500.

Know why this area remains disturbed

About 40 million years ago, the Indian subcontinent collided with the Eurasian plate. Because of this, the Himalaya Mountains were formed. Even today this mountain is rising one cm high every year. Because of this movement, earthquakes often occur here.

Apart from this, due to continuous collision, the ability of the layers to bear pressure ends. As the layers break down, the energy beneath them finds a way out. Because of this earthquake occurs in the Himalayan region. Afghanistan, Pakistan, and some parts of North India fall in the Himalayan range. Because of this, there is always a risk of an earthquake here.

Every year 20,000 earthquakes happen in the world...

There are many earthquakes in the world every year, but their intensity is less. The National Earthquake Information Center records about 20,000 earthquakes each year, of which 100 are earthquakes that cause damage. Earthquakes last for a few seconds or a few minutes, but the longest-lasting earthquake ever in history occurred in the Indian Ocean in 2004. This earthquake lasted for 10 minutes.

Because of Wednesday's earthquake, the Taliban had called an emergency meeting of the cabinet. A government spokesman says that apart from helping those affected by the earthquake, all emergency organizations were tasked with sending rescue teams.
