Telangana DGP Jitendra on Sunday said that the law will do its job in the case of the death of a woman in a stampede during the premiere show of the film 'Pushpa-2'. The film's actor Allu Arjun is one of the accused in this case.
Responding to questions in the press conference, the DGP refused to talk in more detail on the case. He explained the reason behind this and said that this case is in the court. He said that the case is already under investigation. It is pending in the court. The law will do its work. This is all I have to say.
The woman died due to a stampede.
It is worth noting that on December 4, a 35-year-old woman died in a stampede-like situation during the premiere show of the film 'Pushpa 2' at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. At the same time, the eight-year-old son of that woman was seriously injured. After this incident, the police took action and registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theater management.
At the same time, Allu Arjun is out on bail in this case. Three members of the Osmania University-Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC), who attacked Allu Arjun's residence, lodged a police complaint on Sunday that they were receiving threatening calls. The actor's fans are threatening them with dire consequences.
DGP warns Naxalites to leave the state
Telangana DGP Jitendra once again warned Naxalites to leave the state and stressed that the police will take necessary action on any further provocation. The DGP said that except for a few incidents, law and order were effectively maintained in the state in 2024, and strict action was taken against violent crimes, Naxalite activities, and communal and terrorist organizations. He said that there were no major incidents except the killing of two innocent people by Naxalites in Mulugu district in November. The DGP said that after this the police conducted a search operation and restored normalcy.
