Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, said, "This is a good step forward and I am sure that this position will strengthen our collaboration in promoting academic and collaborative research activities in Australia. It will help in translating research results to integrate them with the public health care delivery system. There will be reliable evidence of our scientific practices. Dr. Rajagopala S met the Australian delegation led by Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH along with Vice-Chancellor and President of Western Sydney University, Professor Barney Glover, and others. MoU with 16 foreign countries
The Ministry of AYUSH has made concerted efforts to promote and establish Ayurveda and Yoga as the soft power of India. The Ministry has also developed a Central Sector Scheme for Promotion of International Cooperation (IC Scheme), which seeks to promote AYUSH systems of medicine abroad, promote awareness about AYUSH systems of medicine and strengthen the international exchange of experts.
