BSF South Bengal Frontier DIG PRO Niloptal Kumar Pandey said that yesterday the situation had become more serious. BSF teams were attacked with petrol bombs and stones in Samsherganj area. He said, 'Our parties were attacked by the same people who have been trying to spoil the atmosphere from the beginning. The situation has improved now. None of our soldiers have been seriously injured, but when there is heavy stone pelting, minor injuries are natural.'

Niloptal Kumar Pandey further said that as soon as the situation worsened, BSF companies were deployed on the spot on the instructions of the administration.
