During the discussion on 'Operation Sindoor' in the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the statement of Congress MP and former Home Minister P. Chidambaram. He raised the question of what Congress gains by trying to save Pakistan. Shah said that Chidambaram's statement is a boast of his love for Pakistan in front of the whole world.
The Home Minister said that the Congress leader's question whether the terrorists came from Pakistan or not is like giving a clean chit to Pakistan by the former Home Minister of the country. Along with this, Shah said that we have evidence and we are ready to put it on the table of the Parliament. He said that we even have the voter numbers of two of the three terrorists killed. Pakistan-made chocolates were also found in their pockets. Shah also told when and how the attack took place.
The terrorists were from Pakistan, and the helper was arrested
Amit Shah said that it has become clear in the investigation that the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack were from Pakistan. He said that this was confirmed at 4 am on Tuesday. Also, the two people who had given shelter to these terrorists have been arrested. The Home Minister said that the central government used all the resources to catch the terrorists and their helpers.
Action started after the April attack.
Shah informed that there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 people lost their lives. He left for Srinagar the same day, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi called a CCS meeting the next day. He said that in the meeting, a decision was taken to stop the Indus Water Treaty, which was a historical mistake of the Congress. Shah said that the government decided that the terrorists would be killed in their hiding places.
Response to 'Modi went to Bihar, Rahul went to Pahalgam'
On Gaurav Gogoi's statement 'Modi went to Bihar and Rahul Gandhi went to Pahalgam', Shah said that when the Prime Minister was in Bihar, there was no situation in Pahalgam. Rahul Gandhi was already present there, but this does not mean that the PM's priority is wrong. He said that the Prime Minister spoke responsibly about the attack on the country in a meeting.
'Congress should not ask questions, but should support the country'
At the end of his speech, Amit Shah appealed to the opposition that at a time when innocent people of the country were killed in a terrorist attack, instead of doing politics, they should show unity in the national interest. He said that Operation Sindoor is not just a military action, but a symbol of India's strong will. Congress leaders should stand with the army and the government instead of raising questions on this.
