Another epidemic has spread in North Korea amid the havoc of Corona. This is a disease of the intestines. It has been reported to resemble serious diseases like cholera and dysentery. To deal with this, the military ruler Kim Jong Un himself has taken the front.
According to the Korean Central News Agency, it is not clear at the moment how many people have been infected in southwestern Heju city with this intestinal epidemic. Although the news agency did not name the disease, it is commonly caused by intestinal diseases such as typhoid, dysentery, and cholera, which are caused by contact with contaminated food, germs in water, and feces of infected people. These diseases are called 'enteric'.
North Korean newspaper Rodong Sinmun published a photo of Kim and his wife Ri Sol Joo on the front page. In which the Kim couple is looking at medicines they have provided privately. According to Ahn Kyung-us of DPRKhealth.org, outbreaks of diseases such as measles or typhoid are not uncommon in North Korea, but there is an infectious disease spreading there.
On Thursday, more than 26 thousand people were found in North Korea with fever and other symptoms. With this, more than 45 lakh people have been found infected in the country since April. At the same time, the death toll has gone up to 73.
