In the wake of the Coronavirus infection from the country's capital Delhi, two scary news are coming out. The first is that during 24 hours in Delhi, more than 1000 corona cases were reported on Tuesday and the second big news is that two new sub-variants of corona have been found.

According to the information received, two new sub-variants of the Omicron virus of Corona have been found in Delhi. This has come to the fore in the report of genome sequencing conducted by the Delhi Government's Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), so the increase in corona infection in the capital Delhi is not common, but Omicron's BA.2.38 and BA.2.37 sub-variants. Because the infection has increased.

The virus is four times more contagious than the older variant of Omicron. However, the disease is not getting more severe in most patients like the old Omicron virus. Therefore people do not need to panic but it is necessary to follow the rules to prevent infection. Also, people can get a vigilance dose to protect against corona.

ILBS Vice-Chancellor Dr. SK Sarin said that mutation is happening again and again in the virus. Because of this, Corona is constantly changing its form. The infection of new variants is being seen in the cases which are increasing at present. Because of this, the disease is coming out in the form of a new infection. He said that earlier the infection of Omicron's BA.2 sub-variant was being seen more in Delhi.

Currently, most of the samples are infected with BA.2.38 and BA.2.37 in genome sequencing. These are also sub-variants of Omicron, but the nature of the virus has changed slightly. So it has become more contagious than before. The good news is that most of the patients are getting the mild illness.
