New Delhi, Jan 1 (IANS) Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh Thursday called on President Pranab Mukherjee and greeted him on New Year's Day.
In separate tweets along with photographs, Rashtrapati Bhavan said the vice president, prime minister and home minister called on the president to greet him on the occasion.
"President Mukherjee was greeted this morning by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of New Year," said one of the tweets.
Rashtrapati Bhavan's Twitter page also had photographs of the leaders.
Two photographs showed Ansari and Modi presenting flowers to Mukherjee, while two showed Modi and Rajnath Singh engaged in separate discussions with the president.
The president was also wished by officials and other people on the occasion.
