PM on a three-nation tour starting today
Prime Minister Modi's tour begins today. On December 15-16, he will hold bilateral talks with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan. From December 16-17, he will visit Ethiopia, and in the final leg of his tour, from December 17-18, he will travel to the Sultanate of Oman.
PM Modi to meet the King of Jordan
During his trip, Prime Minister Modi will also visit Jordan. According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, PM Modi's visit to Jordan will strengthen relations between the two countries. This will enhance economic cooperation between India and Jordan and contribute to peace in the region. PM Modi will also meet with the King of Jordan during this visit.
PM to visit Ethiopia for the first time
On December 16, PM Modi will depart for Ethiopia. This will be PM Modi's first visit to the East African nation of Ethiopia. During this visit, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali in Addis Ababa.
PM to also visit Oman
After Ethiopia, PM Modi will travel to Oman on December 17. During his visit to the Sultanate of Oman, PM Modi will meet with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. PM Modi's decision to visit Oman comes as India and Oman celebrate 70 years of bilateral relations. This will be PM Modi's second visit to Oman since 2023.
