Show canceled due to 'Rang de tu mohe gerua' song: BJP

BJP leader Amit Malviya alleged that during the Kolkata Film Festival, Arijit Singh sang the song 'Rang de tu mohe gerua' from Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's film 'Dilwale' in front of CM Mamata Banerjee on stage. For this reason, HIDCO, a government organization of West Bengal, has canceled Arijit Singh's show at Eco Park.

 

Amit Malviya has also shared a video on his Twitter account, in which Arijit Singh is singing the song 'Rang de tu mohe gerua' in front of Mamta Banerjee. However, Dainik Jagran does not verify this video.

 

The Mayor of Kolkata told the reason

At the same time, State Minister and Mayor of Kolkata Firhad Hakim has given the reason for cancellation of Arijit Singh's show. Hakim explained that the show could not be allowed because it was clashing with the G-20's scheduled schedule.

 

'Salman Khan's program also cancelled'

Hakim said, "There will be a program in the convention hall regarding India's chairmanship of the G-20. The convention hall is right opposite, Eco Park. Many foreign dignitaries are likely to attend the program. Police felt that Arjit's program There could be a law and order situation. Arijit Singh's show would have seen a large number of people and it could have been difficult to handle." Hakim further said that even a program of Salman Khan had to be cancelled.
