Rahim completed his century in 60 balls with the help of 14 fours and two sixes. This was the 9th century of his ODI career. Before Rahim, the record of scoring the fastest ODI century from Bangladesh was recorded in the name of Shakib Al Hasan. Shakib scored a century in 63 balls against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo in 2009.

Mushfiqur Rahim completed 7000 runs in his ODI career during this innings. He became the third Bangladeshi batsman after Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan to score 7000 or more runs in ODI cricket.
