Congress supporters blocked roads in Madhyamgram Chaumatha in North 24 Parganas district, Panskura in Paschim Medinipur, Bali in Howrah district, Baharampur in Murshidabad and Kharagpur, where police were seen asking them not to disrupt the movement of vehicles. They also blocked railway tracks at Jadavpur and Madhyamgram in Sealdah section of Eastern Railway and Rishra and Bardhaman in Howrah section.
