That is, with the increase in the number of tests, the number of patients has also increased. Now more than 4 lakh tests are being done daily in the country. A year ago, 20 lakh tests were being conducted every day.
Maharashtra: State with the highest number of new cases
Maharashtra tops the country in terms of new infections. Maharashtra has the highest number of 4,255 infected in the country. There were 3 deaths here on the last day and 2,879 people recovered. The positivity rate has increased to 9.52% in the state.

The number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment in the country has increased at the rate of 8%. The important thing is that 37 thousand active cases are only in Maharashtra and Kerala. Active cases in Maharashtra have increased to 19,261. The number of active cases in Kerala has increased to 17,955.
