Amid tensions on the India-China border, the US has warned Beijing that its efforts to "threat" neighboring countries are worrying. The US has also said that it will "stand by its partner countries".

Tension has been prevailing between India and China in the Eastern Ladakh region for more than one and a half years. There have been many rounds of military-level talks between the two countries to overcome the problems, but till now the solution has not been achieved.

America's latest statement has come at a time when the 14th round of military-level talks between India and China is about to begin.

According to the news agency PTI, this conversation at the level of Corps Commander can be held on Wednesday (January 12).

At the same time, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin has said, "According to the agreement between the two sides, a meeting of the Corps Commanders of China and India will be held on January 12 at the Moldo meeting point on the Chinese side."

Apart from India, there has also been a historic decline in China's relations with Taiwan. China claims Taiwan as its province, while Taiwan considers itself a sovereign country. China also continues to have disputes with many of its neighboring countries over the South China Sea. At the same time, China has a dispute with Japan in the East China Sea.

What did America say to India-China?

Ahead of the next round of talks between India and China, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki in the US said that the US is looking into the matter.

On a question asked during Monday's press briefing about China's aggressive stance on the border with India, Jen Psaki said, "The US is closely watching the situation on the India-China border."

"We support a negotiated and peaceful solution to the border dispute," he said.

He said, "We have a clear position on how we view Beijing's behavior in this region and around the world. We believe that this could destabilize the situation and we condemn the efforts of the People's Republic of China to threaten its neighbors. Worried about it."

Efforts are on to resolve the disputed issues of Eastern Ladakh through military-level talks between India and China.

The 13th round of talks between the two countries was held on October 10 last year. However, it remained deadlocked and no solution was found.

During the talks, both sides did not manage to achieve any progress.

According to the news agency PTI, after the conversation, Indian military officials said that the 'positive suggestions' given by them were not accepted by the Chinese side. At the same time, no such proposals were made from China so that the matter could 'move forward.

On November 18, there was a virtual dialogue between India and China at the diplomatic level. In the meantime, it was agreed to organize the 14th round of military-level talks so that the disengagement process could be completed in the areas of eastern Ladakh over which there is a dispute.

India-China dispute

The dispute between the armies of India and China in the Eastern Ladakh region started on 5 May 2020. After that

On June 15, once again there was a clash between the soldiers of the two countries in the Galvan Valley. Many soldiers on both sides were killed in this.

After the skirmish in Galwan Valley, there were several rounds of talks between the representatives of both countries.

The process of disengagement was started in February 2021 after the meeting of the foreign ministers of both countries.

After several rounds of military and diplomatic level talks, the two sides completed the complete disengagement process from the north and south banks of Pangong Lake and the Gogra area. According to an estimate, at present 50 to 60 thousand soldiers of both countries are stationed in the sensitive sector of LAC (Line of Actual Control).

China already has control over Aksai Chin in the eastern region of Ladakh.

China has been continuously saying that the Indian government's aggressive policy regarding Ladakh is responsible for the current situation, while India says that it has changed the status quo by taking unilateral action on the LAC.

The border between India and China is about 3,440 km long. But, since the 1962 war, much of this border is not clear and both countries make different claims about it.

bitterness in relationships

Many countries of the world, including India and America, have been advocating for free and open movement in this region amid growing Chinese military clout in the Indo-Pacific region.

China claims rights over the disputed area of the South China Sea. While Taiwan, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, and Vietnam also claim their claim on it.

China has built artificial islands and military bases in the South China Sea, bypassing the claims of neighboring countries. There is a dispute between China and Japan in the East China Sea.

America has been supporting its regional allies in this area. America has also been sending its Navy and Air Force planes here. America has been linking its move with trying to fix free movement in the China Sea.

America says that it wants to maintain peace and stability. Its effort is to maintain the freedom of the seas following international law and it opposes the forceful resolution of any dispute.

There has also been a situation of tension between the US and China regarding the statements related to the neighbors.
