Birbhum Massacre: People were brutally beaten before being burnt alive, also attacked with sharp weapons; Disclosure in the forensic report

Ten people who were brutally murdered in Birbhum, West Bengal were brutally beaten up before being executed. This has been revealed in the forensic report. The investigation team found bloodstains in the burnt houses, which revealed that they were also attacked with sharp weapons. There are also indications that the mob beat people till they fainted and then locked them in the house and burnt them alive. Petrol bombs were thrown to set houses on fire.

 

Calcutta High Court to pronounce verdict today

 

The Calcutta High Court will deliver its verdict today on a plea seeking a probe by central agencies in the Birbhum violence case. At present, the SIT is investigating the matter. Here, the matter of Birbhum violence has also reached the Supreme Court. Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta has filed a petition demanding a CBI probe into the matter. Vishnu said that the local authorities are trying to save the real culprits of this horrific incident due to the ruling TMC of the state.

This whole affair started after the murder of Bhadu Sheikh of TMC in Rampurhat, Birbhum. According to Trinamool activist Lalan Shaikh, who witnessed Sheikh's murder, a gang of 10-12 miscreants had come on a bike. They threw a bomb on the deputy head of Barshal gram panchayat. At that time he was talking on the phone sitting on his scooter.

 

A few hours after this incident, the mob reached Bagtui and carried out the massacre. Bhadu Bagtui was a resident of Paschimpara and his attackers were from Bagtui Purbapara. Bhadu's brother Babur was also murdered a year ago.

 

refused to fight the case with lawyers

 

The Kolkata High Court has termed this massacre barbaric. The lawyers refused to fight the case of all the 20 accused who were presented in the court on Wednesday. Rampurhat Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Souvik Dey has sent 10 arrested accused to 14 days police custody. Rest 10 have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

 

Azad Choudhary, Intaj Shaikh, Mafijul Shaikh, Asim Shaikh, Rustam Shaikh, Rohan Shaikh, Nayan Diwan, Mafiuddin Shaikh, Nazir Hussain, and Tauseeb Shaikh are among the 10 people sent to police custody.
