Australian all-rounder Cameron Green failed in the third Ashes Test. In the first innings of the third match, which began on Wednesday in Adelaide, Green returned to the pavilion without scoring a single run. He faced only two balls before Jofra Archer had him caught by Brydon Carse. This innings was nothing short of a nightmare for Green, who recently fetched a hefty price of ₹25.20 crore in the IPL 2026 auction.

England's fast bowler Jofra Archer gave Cameron Green no chance. Green's attempt to play a drive off Archer's fast and accurate delivery proved costly, and he was caught. With this wicket, Archer further increased the pressure on the Australian middle order. Archer bowled brilliantly in this innings, taking three crucial wickets so far.

In the Adelaide Test, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first, but the English bowlers maintained pressure from the start. Australia had a poor start. However, in the end, KKR won the bid and acquired Green. With this, KKR has found a replacement for Andre Russell, who has retired from the IPL.
