Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said on the third and last day of the ongoing 85th Congress session in Chhattisgarh's capital Raipur that the party is considering taking out Bharat Jodo Yatra from Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat. Whereas, Rahul Gandhi gave a speech of 32 minutes. In the speech, Rahul talked about many issues including Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Adani Hindenburg case, Jaishankar's statement on China, and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
In his speech, Rahul also narrated the incident of 1977, in which he realized for the first time that he did not have his own house. He said- It has been 52 years, and I still do not have my house. Sonia Gandhi got emotional after listening to his words.
1. When there was a hug, it was like a transmission
Rahul Gandhi said, 'We did Bharat Jodo Yatra for 4 months from Kanyakumari to Srinagar. You saw my face in the video, but lakhs of people walked with us. We walked together in the rain, heat, and snow. Got to learn a lot. You must have seen that a mechanic came and met me in Punjab. I held his hand and I recognized his years of penance, his pain, and sorrow. As soon as he used to shake hands with lakhs of farmers, used to hug them, it used to become like a transmission.
In the beginning, there was a need to talk about what you do, how many children you have, and what are the difficulties. This went on for a month and a half and after that, there was no need to speak. As soon as he held hands, and hugged, his pain was understood in a second. He used to understand what I wanted to say to him without saying anything.
2. Ego and pride disappeared in 10-15 days
Rahul Gandhi said – Waking up in the morning, I used to think about how to leave. After that he used to think that he has to walk not 25 km but 3 thousand 500 km, how will he walk? Then used to get down from the container and used to walk. Used to meet people. In the first 10-15 days the ego and pride disappeared. Why disappeared
3. To date I do not have a house
He said, I was young, it was in 1977. The election came, but I did not know anything about it. There was a strange atmosphere in the house. I asked my mother what happened mummy. Mother says we are leaving the house. Till then I used to think that the house was ours. I asked the mother why we are leaving the house. For the first time, my mother told me that this is not our house. This is a government house. Now we have to leave from here. When I asked where to go, she says that she does not know where to go. I was surprised. I thought that was our house. It's been 52 years since I don't have a house.
4. When the woman held her hand, I gave the same love that I give to my sister Priyanka.
Rahul Gandhi said, a woman came near, I held her hand and came to know that there was something or the other. I started giving her the same love that I have for my sister. I felt strange about how this is happening. He said to me - Rahul Bhaiya, I have come to meet you.
5. Modi hoisted the tricolor at Lalchowk with 15-20 people, with lakhs
Rahul said- Narendra Modi hoisted the flag at Lal Chowk with 15-20 people of BJP, we hoisted the flag with lakhs of people in Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Prime Minister did not understand. A Kashmiri came and said I am carrying the tricolor with you because you instilled confidence in our hearts.
6. Why are BJP and Sangh protecting Adani?
I showed a photo in Parliament, in which Modi is sitting in a plane with Adani. I asked what is the relationship. The entire government and all the ministers got involved in saving Adani. The one who attacked Adani became a traitor and Adani became a patriot. BJP and Sangh are protecting that person.
The question is why are you protecting? These shell companies, which are sending thousands of crores of rupees to India, to whom do they belong? Whose money is in this? Why is the investigation not happening? Why JPC is not being formed.
