Human rights activists criticized

 

Human rights activists have reacted strongly to the death sentence given to a protester in Iran. Amnesty International issued a statement saying that the death penalty was given to suppress the demonstrations. So that fear can be created among the people. Amnesty has also accused the Revolutionary Court of acting under pressure from the security forces. Shekhri's fellow protesters also said that she had not been given a fair trial. He termed Shekhri's trial a sham.
