G-20 Summit: Advancing US-India relations is our priority – US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen

US Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen on Thursday (September 8) emphasized India-US bilateral relations given the G-20 summit. Janet said the US will step up its efforts at the G20 meeting, such as supporting global agriculture and food security programs.

 

Janet L. Yellen said in a statement, "We look forward to our efforts, such as supporting global agriculture and food security programs... Our priority this week will be to advance the US-India relationship. We look forward to our bilateral cooperation with India." Give great importance to the relationship.”

 

America is India's biggest export market- Janet

He further added, "We also welcomed PM Narendra Modi to the US in June. The United States is home to the largest Indian diaspora outside Asia and India's largest export market." Earlier, US President Joe Biden left for India on Thursday (September 8) to attend the historic G20 summit to be held in New Delhi.

The White House has said in a statement that Biden will follow the Corona guidelines during his visit to India for the G20 summit. America's first lady and Biden's wife Jill Biden became Corona positive on Monday. After this, President Joe Biden got the coronavirus test done on Monday and Tuesday, in his report came negative. Given this, Jill Biden has been kept isolated in her house in Delaware and she is not traveling with the President to India and Vietnam.
