In the last 24 hours, 3,676 new patients were identified, 2,497 patients were cured of the corona, and 7 people died. 70 percent of the new cases came in Kerala and Maharashtra alone. After Friday (June 3), corona cases were recorded below four thousand. There were 3,945 cases on Friday. It was followed by 4,270 on Saturday (June 4) and 4,518 on Sunday (June 5).
There was a decrease of 842 new cases on Monday as compared to Sunday. In this way, a decrease of 5.3% was seen in the cases of Covid. On Sunday, 2,779 corona patients were cured, while 9 infected lost their lives.
Positivity rate reduced in the country
Presently 25,588 corona patients are undergoing treatment in the country. In this era of the epidemic, 4.31 crore people have been corona infected in the country. Of these, 4.26 crore were cured, while 5.24 lakh people lost their lives. The important thing is that the daily positivity rate has come down in the country. Currently, the positivity rate is 1.5%. If this rate is more than 5%, then the epidemic is considered uncontrolled. In Kerala, this rate has gone up to more than 10%. The rate is 6% in Maharashtra and 5% in Goa. In all other states, the rate of infection is under control.
This is the reason that Kerala, a state with only 3% of the country's population, has 34% of the active patients in the country. If you add Maharashtra along with Kerala, 61% of the active patients in the country are in these two states. Barring Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Delhi, the number of active patients in any state is not more than 1 thousand. The number of daily deaths in 26 states remains zero.
The highest number of cases in Kerala
Kerala is at the forefront of the Corona case. More than one thousand cases are being reported here daily. In the last 24 hours, 1,383 people were found infected in the state. 6 patients died, while 807 patients were cured. At present 8,542 corona patients are being treated here. The positivity rate in the state increased from 9.87% to 10.61%. That is, out of every 100 patients, 11 people are getting infected.
Cases increasing again in Maharashtra
Corona cases are increasing again in Maharashtra. There is a danger of infection in many districts including Mumbai. On Monday, 1,036 new cases were found in the state, and 374 patients were cured. Good thing no one died. At present, 7,429 corona patients are undergoing treatment in the state. The positivity rate here is 6.48%.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said – The Covid positivity rate is increasing in 6 districts. There is a positivity rate of 3-8%. We are increasing testing. A booster dose should be taken by all and people should also wear masks.
