Corona Updates: 4,000 cases for the second consecutive day, this is the highest in 3 months; Masks mandatory in Maharashtra

In the last 24 hours, 3,945 cases of the corona were reported in the country. It has remained close to 4 thousand for the last two days. Earlier on Thursday, there were 4,041 cases. This is the highest in the last three months. Earlier on March 11, the corona report of 4,194 patients came positive.

 

Here, the Maharashtra government has made it mandatory to apply masks in the state because of the increasing case of the corona. In the meeting on Corona on Friday, CM Uddhav Thackeray had also indicated strict restrictions in the coming time if the case increases.

 

On Friday, 2,672 patients were cured, while 26 infected people died. Now 2,162 patients are undergoing treatment. So far 4.32 crore people have become corona positive in the country. Of these, 4.26 crore have been cured. 5.24 lakh have lost their lives.

 

Monitoring needed in five states

 

The Health Ministry sent a letter to the state governments on June 3. According to the letter, the five states of Maharashtra, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu have been asked to strictly follow the rules to prevent the rising corona cases. The ministry has asked these states to "maintain strict vigil and take action as before" to control the infection of the corona.

 

Make masks mandatory for air travelers

 

The Delhi High Court has directed to ensure that air travelers follow the rules including masks and other Corona rules. The High Court said that those who do not follow the rules, they should be booked, and fined and such passengers should be put on the no-fly list.

On Friday, 345 new cases were reported in Delhi, while 389 people were cured. The good news is that there has not been a single death. Now 1,446 infected are being treated here. So far 19 lakh 7 thousand 982 people have been corona infected in Delhi. 26 thousand 212 have lost their lives.

 

Cases down in Kerala

 

On Friday, 1,278 new cases of corona have been found in Kerala. 743 infected were cured, while 6 patients died. Now 6,642 patients are undergoing treatment. A day before this, that is, on Thursday, the report of 1,370 patients came positive. So far 65 lakh 60 thousand 901 people have been corona infected in the state. Of these, 64 lakh 83 thousand 623 have been cured, while 69 thousand 773 have died.

 

The positivity rate is more than 8% in Maharashtra

 

Maharashtra also had the highest number of cases in the previous waves. This time too, the increasing cases in Maharashtra have increased the concern of the people. This time the weekly positivity rate is more than 8%. That is, 8 people are getting positive for every 100 tests. The capital Mumbai has registered a 231% increase in the hospitalization rate in May as compared to April.

 

According to the state health department, 1,134 new cases of the corona were reported in the state on Friday. 563 were cured and 3 patients died. At present 5,127 infected people are undergoing treatment. So far 78 lakh 90 thousand 346 have been infected here, 77 lakh 37 thousand 355 have been cured and 1 lakh 47 thousand 864 have died.

 

Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh Updates

 

On Friday, 32 new cases have been reported in Rajasthan, not a single death has been reported. 485 patients are undergoing treatment. So far 12 lakh 85 thousand 921 have been infected here, 12 lakh 75 thousand 879 patients have been cured and 9 thousand 557 have died.

At the same time, 43 new cases of corona have been reported in Madhya Pradesh, not a single death has been reported. 243 patients are undergoing treatment. So far 10 lakh 42 thousand 686 people have been infected with Corona. So far 1 lakh 31 thousand 707 patients have been cured and 10 thousand 736 have died.
