The resolution brought by the US called for the confiscation of Mir's assets, a travel ban, and an arms embargo. The US has announced a $ 5 million bounty on Mir's head. Since there were six Americans among the dead of the 26/11 attacks, the US also wants to nab Sajid Mir.

Pakistan has sentenced Mir to 15 years in a terror funding case to get out of the 'Grey List of the FATF. However, Pakistan has not yet registered a case against Mir in connection with the terrorist attack on Mumbai. Sajid Mir is included in the list of India's most wanted. Let us tell you, that in 2008, terrorists from Pakistan carried out a massive terrorist attack in Mumbai. More than 166 civilians were killed in the attack that lasted for five days.

Earlier, there was a hurdle regarding Masood Azhar

China has put obstacles to passing resolutions of India and other countries against terrorism in the past as well. Last month, it got a technical hold on a US-backed proposal to blacklist Abdul Rauf Azhar, the brother of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar and a senior leader of the Pakistan-based terror outfit. Earlier, he had also become a hindrance in the proposal to designate Masood Azhar as a global terrorist.
