The new case of Corona in the country has again set a new record. In the last 24 hours, 4.14 lakh infections have been identified. This is the largest figure of the new case so far. 3,920 patients lost their lives to the epidemic. However, it was a matter of relief that 3.28 lakh patients were also cured. This is the third time in the last seven days when more than 4 lakh patients were found. Earlier, on April 30, 4.02 lakh patients and on May 5, 4.12 lakh patients were found to be corona positive.
The number of patients being treated for active cases is also increasing. There has been an increase of 81,663 in the last 24 hours. Currently, 36.44 lakh infected people are under treatment. Within the last 7 days, it has increased by 3.80 lakhs. Out of the total active cases, 27 lakh are from only 10 states.

PM reviewed the availability of medicines
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reviewed the situation in Corona in the country. During this time he reviewed health services. He also reviewed the availability of hospital beds and medicines. According to the PMO, during the review, the Prime Minister was given detailed information about the 12 states where there are more than 1 lakh active cases. He was also told about the districts where the maximum deaths are being recorded.
About 31% of the population above 45 years were vaccinated
During this time, the Prime Minister made it clear that the states should send advisory to identify the areas where the positivity rate is more than 10% and the hospital beds including ICU are over 60%. The Prime Minister was informed that a total of 17.17 crore vaccine doses have been supplied to the states so far. At least one dose of vaccine has been given to about 31% of the population above 45 years of age in the country.
Corona Updates
14 days of institutional quarantine has been made necessary for those coming from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana because of rising cases of infection in Delhi and deteriorating conditions due to lack of resources.
Corona curfew has been imposed in Himachal Pradesh since midnight last night. This curfew will remain till the night of 16 May. With this, section 144 will remain in force in the state. During this time all private and government offices will remain closed.
State of major states
1. Maharashtra
On Thursday, 62,194 people were found infected. 63,842 people recovered and 853 died. So far, 49.42 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 42.27 lakh people have been cured, while 73,515 people have died. 6.39 lakh patients are currently undergoing treatment.
2. Uttar Pradesh
On Thursday, 26,622 people were found infected. 28,902 people recovered and 350 people died. So far, 14.25 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 11.51 lakh have been cured, while 14,501 patients succumbed. 2.59 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
3. Delhi
In the country's capital Delhi, 19,133 people were found corona positive on Thursday. 20,028 people recovered and 335 died. So far, 12 lakh 73 thousand people have been infected. Of these, 11 lakh 64 thousand have been cured, while 18,398 patients have died. 90,629 are undergoing treatment.
4. Chhattisgarh
On Thursday, 13,846 people were found corona infected. 11,600 people recovered and 212 died. So far, 8.16 lakh people have been infected by the infection in the state. Of these, 6.75 lakh people have been cured, while 9,950 patients have died. 1.31 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
5. Gujarat
On Thursday, 12,545 people were found infected in the state. 13,021 people recovered and 123 died. So far, 6.45 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 4.90 lakh have been cured, while 8,035 patients have died. 1.47 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
6. Madhya Pradesh
On Thursday, 12,421 people in the state were found to be Corona positive. 12,965 people recovered and 86 died. So far, 6.37 people have been infected. Of these, 5.42 lakh people have been cured, while 6,160 people have died. 88,614 patients are undergoing treatment.
