The film 'Laapataa Ladies', directed by Kiran Rao, may not have performed very well in theatres. But, after its release on OTT, the praise for the film did not stop. From the audience to the film stars, everyone has become a fan of Kiran Rao after watching this film. Nitanshi Goyal, Pratibha Ranta, and Sparsh Srivastava have played lead roles in this film. Even though the story of the film is getting praise, the character of Jaya played by Pratibha in the film was liked by women all over the world. His acting has soon won the hearts of film lovers.

Pratibha Ranta, resident of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, is making a lot of headlines for the film 'Lapata Ladies' made in Aamir Khan Production House. She did her schooling at the Convent of Jesus and Mary School and graduated in Film Production from Usha Praveen Gandhi College of Management, Mumbai. Pratibha started her career as a theater artist and dancer. However, later she came to Mumbai to do modeling.

After coming to Mumbai, Pratibha started giving wings to her dreams. In the year 2018, she won the title of Miss Mumbai. After this, she turned to the small screen and became popular in every household with the show 'Qurbaan Hua'. In a recent interview, Pratibha revealed that she decided to make the transition to the big screen because she felt that there was not much development happening in TV.

Further in the interview, Pratibha recalled the moment when she auditioned for 'Laapta Ladies' in front of Aamir Khan himself. The actress said, "I had to struggle a bit because I am a big fan of Aamir. Even though Aamir liked my performance, he didn't give me any concrete confirmation at that time."

Now recently, Pratibha was seen again in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's released web series 'Heeramandi'. In this series, the actress was seen playing the role of Shama, who is the daughter of the  Sanjeeda Shaikh. 'Heeramandi' is getting positive responses from the audience and critics.
