The Enforcement Directorate is tightening its grip on the alleged liquor scam in Delhi. It is reported that ED officials conducted major raids in three states including Delhi early this morning. Apart from Delhi, ED raids are going on at 35 locations in Punjab and Hyderabad.

Sources said ED officials are conducting raids at 35 places in Delhi, Punjab, and Hyderabad. News agency PTI reported that some liquor distributors, companies, and organizations associated with them are being searched. The ED has so far raided more than 103 places in this case.

Kejriwal retaliated

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has retaliated after the ED raid. He tweeted, "More than 500 raids, for 3 months more than 300 CBI and ED officers are working 24 hours to find evidence against one Manish Sisodia. Can't find anything, because nothing has been done. Apni filthy Time of so many officials is being wasted on politics. How will such country progress?"

Let us tell you, last month, the Enforcement Directorate took major action in the Delhi Excise Policy case. The ED team had arrested liquor baron Sameer Mahendru in this popular case. Earlier, the CBI had arrested Vijay Nair, former CEO of event management company Only Much Louder, in the same case.

At the same time, in this case, the CBI has issued a lookout circular notice against eight accused including Manish Sisodia. A total of nine people are named in the FIR, out of which only a look-out circular has not been issued against Manoj Rai, the former Vice President of Pernod Ricard.
