According to news agency ANI, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet the media on Friday and share information related to the treatment of corona virus infected patients through plasma therapy.

 

Here, let us know that Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital and Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) of Delhi Government has started a trial of plasma therapy in the treatment of serious patients suffering from corona. Under this, plasma therapy was given to two patients admitted to Loknayak Hospital.

 

The doctors at the hospital say that the condition of both the patients was very critical. After giving plasma, his health is improving and the condition is better than before. The doctors hope that the results will be good. Doctor Suresh Kumar, who treated patients with this technique at Loknayak Hospital, said that this is the first government hospital in Delhi where plasma therapy trials have been started in the treatment of corona.

 

The Delhi government also directed to start it soon. For this, approval has also been taken from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Drug Controller of India. After this, approval from the theoretical committee of Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) was also given to two patients as a plasma therapy trial. Both patients are currently in ICU. His health is improving.

 

Dr. Suresh Kumar said that only patients below 65 years of age can give plasma. If someone has kidney disease, organ failure and pregnancy, then it cannot be given. Dr. Suresh Kumar said that people who have recovered from corona two to three weeks ago can donate plasma.

 

Both patients were given two doses of plasma

 

Two donors donated 500–500 ml of plasma. Both patients were given 250–250 ml plasma twice. 250 ml was plated a day earlier. And this was only climbed on Wednesday. Dr. Suresh Kumar said that it is hoped that the result will come better. Both patients are showing improvement. A patient is 60 years old. He has been admitted for the last five days. He had severe breathlessness, fever and chest infections. The condition of the other patient was also critical. He had pneumonia and severe respiratory problems. Trial to be done on 10 patients According to Dr. SK Sarin, Director of ICLBS, this trial is to be done on 10 patients. After this, a decision will be taken regarding its use in treatment. Plasma will be prepared in ILBS as per the plan. While patients will be treated in Loknayak. It is noteworthy that a corona patient has been treated with this technique at Max Hospital in Delhi.
