Attacks on Energy Infrastructure in West Asia Escalate
The crisis in West Asia is having a far-reaching impact across the globe. The situation has deteriorated further, particularly following Israel’s attack on Iran’s South Pars gas field. In the wake of the Israeli strike, Iran launched attacks on gas and energy installations in Kuwait and Qatar. These attacks have sent shockwaves across the entire world. Subsequently, US President Trump stated that energy facilities would not be targeted and also mentioned that he was unaware of any attack on Iran’s gas fields.
