CPI leaders told Hindustan Times that on Monday, the party's general secretary D. Raja had asked them to quash the rumors by holding a press conference. Apart from this, the chairman of the Apex Electoral Committee should be made, which selects the candidates in the elections. Another leader said, “Nobody can make such a demand in any party. It is the party that takes its own decisions about its people and gives responsibility. If they have any ambition then top authorities should be told.
