According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas. Due to this, there may be light snowfall in the mountains. Cloud cover and rain are expected for the next three days from Wednesday in the states of North India including Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, there is a possibility of starting a new phase of winter in North India.
Warning of heavy rain in three southern states in the next two days
The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain from Wednesday to Friday. According to the department, there is a possibility of heavy rains with strong storms in North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and South Andhra Pradesh after the next two days i.e. on Thursday. There is a red alert in 13 districts of South. 6 teams of NDRF have been deployed.
