
Former US President Donald Trump has received another setback from the court. Two of Trump's companies were convicted of fraud. A case filed by the Manhattan District Attorney found two of Trump's corporate entities guilty on all 17 counts, including tampering with business records, according to news agency ANI. Trump's companies were alleged to have avoided paying personal income tax on rent-free apartments and luxury cars and perks of the job.
Trump was not personally indicted
According to news agency ANI, Trump Corp and Trump Payroll Corp were convicted of cheating. However, Donald Trump has not been indicted personally. Former President Trump was also mentioned several times during the court case. According to CNN, Trump's company could face a fine of $1.61 million. Significantly, the company will not be closed.
