
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit (29 and 30 May) to Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. During this two-day visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects in these states. Along with this, he will also address many public meetings.
Bengal tour
PM Modi is coming on a visit to Sikkim's capital Gangtok and Bengal's Alipurduar on Thursday, 29 May. In Sikkim, he will attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations organized on the occasion of the completion of 50 years of the state, while in Alipurduar he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development projects.
Will also inaugurate 19 CNG stations
A statement issued by the Information Office said that the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a city gas distribution (CGD) project worth more than Rs 1,010 crore in Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts during the official function.
Its target is to supply PNG to more than 2.5 lakh households and more than 100 commercial establishments and industries. It will also provide CNG to vehicles through about 19 CNG stations to be set up in accordance with the minimum work program (MWP) targets set by the government.
Visit Bihar
The Prime Minister will reach Patna at 5 pm on Thursday while touring Sikkim-Bengal. On the first day of his Bihar visit, he will inaugurate the newly built terminal of Patna airport and lay the foundation stone of Bihta airport. In the evening, he will also hold a road show of about four kilometers from Patna airport to Income Tax roundabout.
After the road show, the PM will go to the BJP state office. On the second day, Friday, he will address a public meeting in Bikramganj of Rohtas district and lay the foundation stone of the second phase of Navinagar Super Thermal Power Project. Bihar is to get 1500 MW of electricity from this unit. During this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth 50 thousand crores.
Visit Uttar Pradesh
After Bihar, the PM will go on a tour of Kanpur on May 30 itself. The Kanpur tour will give a glimpse of "Operation Sindoor", a symbol of Indian military valor.
PM Modi will hold a public meeting at CSA University Ground and will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 15 projects including Kanpur Metro worth Rs 47,664 crore, one unit of Neyveli power plant in Ghatampur, Panki, Khurja in Bulandshahr, Obra in Sonbhadra and Jawaharpur power plant in Etah, three power substations in Noida. Earlier these projects were 12, three more power plants were added for inauguration on Wednesday.
