Politics has intensified regarding the continuous action of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi against encroachment and illegal construction of the country's capital. While the Bharatiya Janata Party is justifying the action of bulldozers against illegal constructions, the Delhi government has come out against the action. Meanwhile, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi has sought a report from the three municipal corporations (South, East, and North) on running bulldozers.
According to Delhi government sources, reports were sought from all the three municipal corporations of Delhi since April 1, in which details have been sought regarding the removal of encroachments through bulldozers and demolition of illegal constructions. It has been clearly said by the Aam Aadmi Party government that all the three municipal corporations should provide all the data regarding the action taken against illegal construction and encroachment since April 1.
It is worth mentioning that on Monday, Arvind Kejriwal said about the action on encroachment and illegal construction through bulldozer that I have told my MLAs that even if you have to go to jail, do not be afraid, but you have to stand with the public.
On this occasion, Arvind Kejriwal had made it clear that he is also against encroachment, but how the ruling BJP is acting in corporations cannot be tolerated at all. Papers of people living for 40 years are not being seen. Yes, they are being removed.
In a press conference after a meeting of MLAs and party leaders on Monday to decide a strategy against the bulldozers of corporations, Kejriwal claimed that the BJP is preparing to run bulldozers at the homes and shops of 63 lakh people in Delhi. He has said that this will be the biggest destruction of independent India.
50 lakh people live in the kutcha colonies of Delhi and 10 lakh in slums. etc., that encroachment will be broken. In this way, bulldozers will run over the houses of about 63 lakh people.
He said that I think this will be the biggest destruction of independent India. He has said that the way BJP is destroying people's houses and shops, is not right. We are strongly against it. It is not right for BJP to run bulldozers in this way, it is not right to do hooliganism and use its power. It is not right to use it wrong.
At the same time, Delhi Pradesh Congress President Anil Chaudhary has advised Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to call a special session of the assembly. He said that there is no other way but to save lakhs of people of Delhi from being devastated by the BJP's bulldozer campaign. According to Chowdhary, a resolution should be passed in the assembly against the bulldozer campaign and a law should be made to ensure that action like bulldozers should not be taken in the future.
Anil Chaudhary said that BJP and Kejriwal together are sending notices at some places to destroy the houses and shops of the poor, while in most places they are taking action without notice. Both the governments are also running bulldozers on the livelihood of five lakh street vendors living in unauthorized colonies, and slums.
He said the job of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board under the Delhi government is to provide housing to the slum dwellers, while Kejriwal is sending bulldozers to destroy them. Congress opposes this. Party leaders and workers openly protested by coming in front of the bulldozer, which will continue even further.
