India had to face defeat in the second ODI against Bangladesh. With this victory, Bangladesh has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Now the third ODI between the two teams will be played in Chattogram on Saturday. Batting first on Wednesday, Bangladesh scored 271 runs losing seven wickets in 50 overs.

In response, the Indian team at one time had lost seven wickets for 207 runs in the 43rd over. After this Rohit Sharma's stormy innings were seen on the field. Suryakumar Yadav and their wife Ritika Sajdeh have praised Rohit for this courageous innings on social media.

Rohit single-handedly took India to the brink of victory, but six runs off the last ball proved too much for India. Rohit, batting at number nine, scored an unbeaten 51 off 28 balls. He hit three fours and five sixes in his innings. Rohit was injured at the start of the match. He was injured in the thumb of his left hand. Blood was also coming out from his fingers. He was immediately taken off the field after this. Then also went to the hospital in Dhaka.

However, after some time he returned to the stadium but did not come down for fielding. Nor did Rohit get down to open. The batting of the Indian team was a flop and the team lost four wickets to 65 runs. After this Shreyas Iyer and Akshar Patel took over the innings. As soon as these two were out, the Indian team was again in trouble. After this, Rohit's quick innings got India out of trouble. He landed on the field with a bandage around his thumb. The Indian team may have lost, but their innings are being praised a lot on social media.

Rohit's partner in Team India and IPL franchise Suryakumar Yadav tweeted – Lots of respect for you Rohit Sharma. At the same time, Ritika wrote for Rohit in an Instagram story – I love you and I am proud of the kind of person you are. To go out on the field in such a situation and play a brilliant inning.

After Rohit's innings, there was a flood of tweets for him on social media. A user named Mufaddal Vohra wrote – Salute to you, Rohit Sharma. You took a courageous decision to bat with an injured thumb. Also, you scored an unbeaten 51 off 28 balls when the chances of winning were slim. You gave your best. At the same time, a user named Vishal wrote - India may have lost the match, but Rohit has won everyone's heart.

Bangladesh has also taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Bangladesh has won an ODI series against India for the first time since 2015. In the first ODI of this series, Bangladesh defeated India by one wicket. With the loss of the series, Rohit Sharma joined Mahendra Singh Dhoni's club. He is the second Indian captain to lose the ODI series against Bangladesh.

Earlier in 2015, under Dhoni's captaincy, the Indian team had lost the three-match ODI series 2-1. The Bangladesh team continues to perform brilliantly at home. Bangladesh has not lost an ODI series at home since October 2016. Before Bangladesh, India had lost 1-0 in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand.
