American MP Rick McCormick has praised the people of the Indian community settled in America. He said that the population of Indians in our country is only one percent but they pay six percent of the total tax collection.

In his first speech in the US House of Representatives, the Congressman from Georgia called for a streamlined immigration process.

At the same time, the MP also emphasized that this community does not create problems in the country and follows the laws.

McCormick is a doctor by profession and represents the Georgia district. He defeated Bob Christian of the Democratic Party in the November 8, 2022 midterm elections. During his maiden speech to the House, 54-year-old McCormick also said on Thursday that one in every five doctors in his community is Indian. Along with this, he described Indian Americans in Parliament as great patriots, honest citizens, and good friends.
